Heylo people!
You all know I simply loveee following trends {well, that being part of my job too!} But I always try to make these trends my own by whipping my personal style in them. I believe my personal style is very eclectic. It has a mood of its own, a personality of its own- every single day, as it comes. Some day I may be feeling quirky, some day I may completely embrace my Indianness.
There are very few multi brand fashion stores in India that cater to all my different style moods just under one roof. And undoubtedly the best one is Lifestyle Stores. Indian- western, quirky-gothic, simple or in a mood to make a statement. Lifestyle store’s foray of exclusive brands, wide range of styles and special focus on latest trend, never lets me go home empty handed.
Recently I also did a special activity with Lifestyle group to help people chalk out their personal style according to body type and of course comfort. It was so much fun playing the make-over queen and helping people find confidence and stance. All of this was possible because of Lifestyle’s extensive range that to at affordable prices. More over the lovely team at Lifestyle made all the efforts for a wonderful experience.
Lifestyle in-stores latest collection from brands like Vero Moda, Elle, French Connection, CK, AND to name a few. But my favourite ones are Ginger, Melange and Code as they are trendy and oh so affordable. Guess what all these brands are Lifestyle’s very own, in house brands. Hence speaking a lot about their focus on styles and trends.
Hence this season Lifestyle is eyeing on 5 key trends that are totally in sync with international street scene and runway.
~Denim On Denim
~ Dark Florals
~Aztec
~Bohemian
~ Military Chic.
I have put together 3 looks from Lifestyle A/W’15 trends. And like I said before, each trend is mixed with my personal style. You will just see how!
So lets get started…
Trend #1: Denim On Denim:
Like the name says its all, this trend is all about pairing two denim pieces. Be it a denim shirt with denim jeans, Denim jacket with denim skirt and so on. But I wasn’t feeling the obvious hence paired a denim jumpsuit from Ginger with a denim kurta from Melange!
Outfit Details:
Jumpsuit: Ginger
Kurta: Melange
Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Aztec trend is been here for a while now but the never ending love for this trend keeps it on the trend-charts.
So why is a kurta always worn as a kurta!? What if I tell you that a kurta can also be worn as a dress, with a Indian twist? I wore a Melange kurta like a dress with a stunner waist coat to complete the look. I added few pieces of jewellery along with a kolhapuri style footwear for that perfect touch of Indianness.
Outfit Details:
Kurta: Melange
Jacket: Melange
Cuffs: Toniq Accessories
Kolhapuri: Paprika
Trend #3: Dark Florals.
When you hear dark florals do you only think of evening wear, next to black, formal kinda look? Well, I say QUIRKY! I paired this lovely Elle Fashionwear dark floral dress with a comfy pair of sneakers and a colour pop back pack to make it look fun, quirky and a day look!
Outfit Details:
Dress: Elle Fashionwear
Shoes: Lace Ups
Backpack: Lifestyle
So now you know how I make trends my own.
All the merchandise you just saw on me are currently available in all Lifestyles stores across India. So get your hands on these trendy pieces before they run out of stock.
Which one was your favourite trend? Do lemme know
Until next time,

8 years agoI love how you paired up kurta with jacket to look like a dress! It is a great re-use of all the anarkalis I have for a indo-western look!
