Happy Happy Diwali Everyone!
We learned in schools that Diwali symbolises the win of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance. But more importantly its about lots of sharing through Diwali gifts or losing money in card parties :P, twinkling lights and diyas, crackers, dressing up and of course the Pooja. Whatever the agenda be Diwali is everyone’s favourite festival. No wonder its an official holiday not only in India but Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapore and Fiji.
Diwali for sure calls for a celebration on the blog too! Hence I curated a special Diwali look for all my followers.
For this look I wore a heavenly gorgeous sari from Amrita Thakur. If sophisticated bling is your kinda taste, I think no one does it better than Amrita. This young and talented designer can make a simple looking outfit perfect for wedding wear with her classic cuts, fine embroidery, some fun elements and choice of colour. You can shop Amrita Thakur Label at Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop.
My obvious choice for the jewellery part was a brand that is also all about sophisticated bling- SWAROVSKI (no surprise for guessing that I believe :P) But honestly these baubles are so versatile that they go so well with any Indian outfit and can light up a regular western look too. The colour and design make them a great buy even for the coming wedding season. The price point is perfect for gifting too.
As for the hair and make up- my staple winged eyes and curled hair with a mix of two of my favourite lip shades- Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Electric Pink+ Loreal Orange Power with a nude glass gloss for shine.
