Dear Lovelies,
Title of today’s post may sound a lil ectopic but thats what happened when I was in Paris to witness the spectacular Rahul Mishra SS’15 show during Paris Fashion Week 2015 at the famous Palais de Tokyo. Palaise de Tokyo is a building dedicated to modern and contemporary art where biggess like Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Barbara Bui have also showcased before.
Replicating the scene from that day- I foot down from my cab, the arena is already buzzing with media and guests.I see many familiar faces from the Indian Fashion Industry. Few just dressed up and many dressed up to make a cool style statement. The paparazzi is clicking many of my photos too. Few enquiring and few assuming if I am some Bollywood actor :p. I pass their assumption with a big grin on my face while posing for the shutterbugs 😀 Hence the title for today!
For this look, I wasn’t keen on going all western and also not particularly ‘Indian’ say like a sari. But something with Indian accents that makes a statement and not a shout out that; Yayie, am a fashion enthusiast who is feeling over the top attending Paris Fashion Week for the first time and comes from the beautiful, colourful country called INDIA. You see there is always some fun in mystery!
Parisians adore Amarapli Jewels thanks to their splendid designs and unmissable collections with Paris Fashion Week regular, Manish Arora. So for the accessory bit I was sure it has to be Amrapali.
After much thought and look around I zeroed on stunner pieces from Anita Dongre. Anita’s latest collection was all I was looking for- Boho chic with the right dose of Indianness.
What you see is a look I curated from 3 different Anita Dongre outfits. Tasseled intermix print skirt + gota patti jacket + backless choli. These 3 separates together looked stunning! I got the skirt tailored to wear it like a high waist skirt and choli like a crop top. The gota patti jacket synonym’s a cape. Oh how I love replicating western trends with Indian outfits!!
This silver neckpiece went really well with whole boho outfit. A Manish Arora for Amrapali cuff ring and few of my staple midi rings. Booties for a added western touch.
Take A Look:
Outfit Details-

Top & Jacket: Anita Dongre Couture

Hope you like it as much as I do!
Until then,
LovE,
