Heyyylllooooo,
A biggg hello to make up for my sudden and rather long (2week!) disappearance. Thanks to the nasty flue I got that kept me away from posting on the blog or attending events, Hermes Silk Ball being an exception! But I am sure the pomp and splender behind Arpita Khan’s super lavish wedding at Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad kept all you social bees busy. Less know that Salman Khan had lost his cool during the wedding! Apparently, baby sister, Arpita, was upset and unhappy with the fitting of her dream wedding dress. On which the designer duo, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, gave a sour response and blamed Arpita’s body type the reason of the ill fit {#cantsee}. Hence the reason for a furious Salman Khan and obvious war of words that followed with the designers.
Anyhow I am better now and in working condition! Hence on today’s post I will tell you how to dress up for a relaxed brunch get together. Todays post is also a shout out to gem of a online shopping portal: VAJOR.com
Brunches are to catch up with your mates after a long ‘work-full’ week and crazy party weekend. So after work wear and party wear brunches call for relaxed dressing. But I believe since Gossip Girl happened to the world, Sunday brunches also became more of a dressing up affaire while keeping the relaxed quotient intact. Hence morning brunches too have its share of do’s and don’t.
Here are 7 most important tips to follow:
- Ditch The Denim: I know its about dressing casual but its also about dressing chic!
- Messy Bun Or Ponytail- Oh No!: Avoid the messy buns and neat pony tails, instead look for a pretty hair accessory or simply curl your hair and tie into a braid.
- Chunky Jewelry- No No No: Only chunky jewelry is not synonym to statement jewelry. Small & dainty too can make a statement. Brunch dressing calls for something small yet different and eye catching. Time to take out Mommy’s pearl string!
- No heels: I would suggest no heels and only flats. But those who cannot live without heels should opt for flat-forms or wedges. Stilettos are too up tight for a fun noon get together.
- The Dress: The dress has to be calf/mid length if not full. Too much revealing is a big NOO. If dresses are not your thing then chiffon ruffle sleeved top with easy trousers also work.
- The color: Oh So WHITE! White is the color for brunching! Too scared of hunger stains on whites? Then opt for pale shades of pink, blue or green aka Pastels!
- Other things: Carry a nice medium size bag; a nice belt if needed and eye wear to beat the sun.

8 years agoHey Juhi! These brooches are from various places and few were a gift! If finding brooches a problem then simply wear your earrings as a brooch, like my LOVE brooch in the image :)
