Vogue Files: Amrapali Jewelry Shoot.

Hey all,

I think its every girl’s dream to work in a leading fashion magazine house. But only few make it and bless thy lord I am one of them. It is a dream come true to work as a Stylist for India’s Best Fashion Magazine : VOGUE India !! Yayieee. With colossal pain in my gut I had kept this awesome news under wraps for all this while. Cant actually discuss my work before the magazine is out on the stands.

Styling is super fun but more work than one can possibly imagine. Research on latest trends, concept planning, sourcing clothes and accessories, deciding on the hair and make up. Which model will pull it off? Which photographer will kill it? Standing on your feet from morning till the end to see if the fall of the dress is fine or the jewelry is correct and finally the post production. Million questions and zillion sprints!! Rome was probably built in a day but not a fashion shoot for sure! But its a happy ending when the results are out. You are just elated to the core and all that handwork actually pays off with premium 😛

The ‘SILVER SWOON for Amrapali Jewelers’ was published in the January issue of Vogue India Magazine. The shoot was photographed by Anushka Menon and styled by Vogue’s very own, senior stylist, Aaditya Walia and assisted by Sukhneet Wadhwa. And the make up Magician, Chandni singh made model Carla Aciar look stunning!

About the collection- Thirty fabulous years back founder members Rajiv Arora & Rajesh Ajmera launched  Amrapali Jewelry. They use to travel around India to acquire stunning one of a kind collectable tribal pieces. And these 30 years of travel has resulted into a whole museum!! To be opened in Jaipur soon the collection is called Chandrika which signifies moonlight or the rays of the moon.

Take-A-Look at the story images as seen in the Vogue January Issue !

As you can figure out I was way to busy styling and covering ‘behind the scene’ that I didn’t get my self clicked.

Next shoot for sure,

Until then,
