Heyaa my lovelies,
Its that time of the year when bells seize to ring. Yes! Its wedding season time. Friends, cousins, far cousins or far friends- Near, far, wherever you are! I am sure you have at least one wedding card for this weekend or next. So, like last season I am back with the ‘Wedding Couture’ look book post- A guide for all the brides-to-be, brides-mates, mummy’jiz and aunty’jiz for latest in wedding wear and all that jazz.
Without further delay lets get to today”s look- COCKTAIL look. I hate LBD’s and not at all in awe of the colour black but ‘exception’ is mother of all Yes’s!! Hence I chose a black & gold anarkali from Rimple & Harpreet Narula’s latest couture collection, showcased at the India Couture Week 2014. This husband-wife designer duo has been working together on their label for over a decade and is known for their specialisation in bridal wear. The anarkali I wore comes with a fully embroidered jacket which was too heavy for a cocktail look. So I ditched the jacket and styled this suit with a belt and duppatta from the other pieces of the collection.
Keeping the look simple and no fuss. I teamed this floor length black anarkali with a dash of my favorite emerald. Who says you cant pair a colour that doesnt belong to the outfit! Emerald bangles and clutch add the much-needed colour to the look. I even carried a emerald colour shawl (not seen in pictures) along with my favourite pieces of fine jewellery.
Well I don’t understand the hue and cry about Black Friday in India (we love adapting the west!) but today is friday and am wearing black so no better tittle but ‘Black Friday.’
