Dear All,
In life we consistently wish for things that make us feel quintessentially satisfied or in search of people who make us feel blissfully complete. Like may be a whole cupcake to ourselves, a one shot perfect selfie, an empty mall on a bonanza sale day or most importantly a companion who knows that if you said ‘Ok, No Problem’, to a certain situation, it patently means there is a biggg problem! 😛 But like we all know life comes with no instructions manual set by God. After all a whole cupcake comes with zillion calories! 😛
But thank God there is one place that has it all! One place that will indulge all your jewellery needs- SWAROVSKI!
Swarovski can fulfil your everyday accessorising needs that too without soaring up your credit card bill. A versatile brand that has tiny trinket and bold statement jewellery. Be it neckpieces, bracelets, rings or earrings, they have it all! Something for every occasion and every personality.
Few days back I showed you how to style dainty Swarovski trinkets as part of your daily wear {See Here} but today you get the taste of all things bold and bewitching. With a sassy take on Swarovski’s latest fall winter 2014 collection I present to you a biker bling look for the 3rd & final round of #STYLEYOURWAYTOPARIS Bloggers Contest. I was startled with delight to see gorgeous bold pieces from Swarovski.
But before I get onto the new look there is little something that I would like to tell you about my #STYLEYOURWAYTOPARIS contest experience so far. The second round of the contest made me meet and greet fellow bloggers, get judged by some of industries most reverent fashion experts sitting across the globe, hangout with fab Swarovski India, Watconsult, TCC & the photographers team. And of course win the Delhi edition. A feeling that left a sparkle in my eyes proclaiming that- Yes! I have come a long way in my 18 months of existence in this blog-o-shere and I might be doing something just right. It was an evening of pure bling bliss and I am so glad I took part. Thank you all
The two looks that helped me win were:
Work Wear: I dressed up for a day in the Vogue Paris Office. Ballooned midi skirt with crisp white shirt and Swarovski baubles. Wearing earrings as collar pins. Grey pearls string attached to a matching bracelet. Beautiful rings and a watch with a dainty pink tennis bracelet.
Festive Wear: Dressed up as a south Indian bride. I wore my mothers’s 25 year old kanjowarum saree over a pair of jeans with a power shoulder crop top. I interpreted 2 mirror neckpieces attached onto the blouse as bajubands (bracelets wore by a south Indian bride over her biceps). Mirror slake bracelets attached together and wore over the saree as a belt. A trinket on my forehead symbolising a bindi and a maang tikka. Brooch worn as a hair accessory (not seen in the picture) and alta (red dots) hands to finish the look.
After these two ultra feminine looks its time for the IDENTITY SWITCH. I am utterly comfortable with feminine or quirky outfits with bright colours. On the other, majority perceive Swarovski jewellery to be dainty and feminine. But today I explore more, in an effort to present something unique for the 3rd round – The Biker Bling Look! While sorting out my pieces for this look I was quite sure I wanted to create a look with bold, chunky and statement making pieces because Swarovski is just not about the dainty and the delicate.
Boys and bikes go together like bread and butter. But who says guys get to have all the fun? Biker babes both retro and modern (think Madonna & Rihanna) have always proved that girls too can pull of the look just like the boys!
When worn with the right accessories one can easily transcend a biker look from the day to the night. I chose a catty pale pink crop top, a zipper midi skirt and a leather jacket with sky rocking heels for this look. The jacket worn as a cape gives a laid back appeal and the conservative midi length of the skirt further adds oomph to the entire outfit. Teamed up with Swarovski”s super chunky neckpiece and dazzling arm party for an impeccable night look.
The opulent embroided monochrome neckpiece adds the apt dose of bold & beautiful. The chain neckpiece (wore as a bracelet) along with glamorous mesh bracelets on the other hand adds the touch of rebel helping me strike the right balance. The bracelets make it to my #musthave list this season.
Strappy buckled heels add a tough-girl edge. Lacquer up with a dark polish and a lacy glove for a sensuous spark of glam.
The hair is kept easy and curled with my signatures winged eye make up and lips filled with electric violet colour.
